Visit Swoyambhunath Stupa

Continue your tour to Swoyambhunath Stupa, located west of Kathmandu. Continue your journey to Begnas Lake, located southeast of the Pokhara Valley. This freshwater lake is the third largest in Nepal and is used for irrigation. The water level fluctuates seasonally and is regulated by a dam constructed in 1988 on the western outlet stream, Khudi Khola.

Drive 42 km from Pokhara to Nayapul. This scenic drive will take you to the starting point of your trek.

Trekking Itinerary

  1. Nayapul to Birethanti (1050m)

    • Trek Duration: 25 minutes
    • Cross the Modi River and continue your trek.
  2. Birethanti to Ramghai/Hille

    • Follow the trail along the Burundi Khola.
    • Trek Duration: Approximately 2 hours to Ramghai/Hille.
    • Lunch: Stop for lunch in Ramghai/Hille.
  3. Ramghai/Hille to Tirkhedhunga (1577m)

    • After lunch, continue trekking for about 1.5 hours from Ramghai or 30 minutes from Hille to reach Tirkhedhunga, a small Gurung village.
  4. Tirkhedhunga to Ulleri (2073m)

    • Cross a hanging bridge and trek uphill for about 1.5 hours to reach Ulleri.
    • Ulleri is a small Gurung village with stunning views of Annapurna South (7219m) and Himchhuli (6441m).

  2. Banthanti to Nangethanti (2550m)

    • Trek Duration: 1.5 hours
    • Continue with a gentle trek through the beautiful oak and rhododendron forest.
    • Lunch: Stop for lunch in Nangethanti, enjoying a break amidst the serene forest environment.
  3. Nangethanti to Ghorepani (2874m)

    • Trek Duration: 1 hour and 20 minutes
    • After lunch, resume your trek to Ghorepani, a beautiful Magar village.
    • Enjoy stunning views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges as you approach Ghorepani.

  3. Banthanti to Tadapani

    • Duration: 1.5 hours
    • An easy trek with some ups and downs to Tadapani (2660m).
  4. Tadapani to Ghandruk

    • Duration: 2.45 hours
    • Trek through Bhaisekharka to reach Ghandruk (1952m), a picturesque Gurung village with views of Annapurna South, Himchhuli, and Fishtail.

Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul and Nayapul – Pokhara (Drive)

After breakfast in Ghandruk, start your trek to Sauli Bazar, which takes about 2.5 hours of downhill and flat walking. From Sauli Bazar, continue with an easy and flat walk along the Modi Khola for another 1.5 hours to reach Birethanti, where you’ll stop for lunch. After lunch, trek for 25 minutes to Nayapool and then drive back to Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara, check in at your pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay.
