Depart for Jaipur in a private vehicle. Known as the “Pink City,” Jaipur is the walled capital of Rajasthan. The city earned its nickname in 1876 when it was painted pink to welcome Queen Victoria and the Prince of Wales, symbolizing the hospitality of its people.
On the way, visit Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage site built by Emperor Akbar. This historic city features several palaces, mosques, and large halls that showcase typical Mughal architecture. Additionally, stop at Abhaneri village, located about 95 km from Jaipur on the Jaipur-Agra road. Abhaneri is famous for the Chand Baori stepwell, one of the deepest and largest stepwells in India, with 3,500 narrow steps spanning 13 stories and extending approximately 100 feet into the ground.

Founded in 1727 AD, Jaipur was planned according to the grid system based on the Hindu “Shilpi Shastra.” The city is divided into nine chowkaris or blocks, intersected by main streets and lanes, surrounded by a crenellated wall and pierced by seven gates. Living in this beautiful walled city offers an opportunity to showcase its hidden secrets and reveal its interesting and beautiful parts.

Khimsar is a charming hamlet located at the edge of the Great Thar Desert in Rajasthan. The village center features a water body that looks like a picturesque oasis in the dry desert landscape. Historically, Khimsar was an independent kingdom ruled by the Thakurs of the region. The history of Khimsar dates back to the construction of the Khimsar Fort in the 16th century. This fortress has witnessed many battles, with evidence of the conflicts visible on its walls.
Originally built to guard the Khimsar kingdom against enemy attacks, the fort became a residential place when the women’s section, known as the Zanana, was added in 1940. Today, part of the fort serves as a heritage hotel, while the rest is still occupied by the descendants of the royal family of Khimsar.
