Known traditionally as Banaras or Benares, Varanasi is a revered holy city located in the central region of the Ganges Valley in North India. After exploring the palace, visit Saheliyon ki Bari (Garden of the Maidens), which was laid for a group of forty-eight young women attendants who accompanied a princess to Udaipur as part of her dowry. Next, visit the superb Jagdish Temple, noted for its elephant carvings. This temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath and is situated at a great height, accessible by a long flight of stairs. Later, continue your tour with visits to Nagada and Eklingji.
Evening: Experience the wonderful Dharohar dance show at Bagore Ki Haveli. This hour-long show takes place in the courtyard called Neem Chowk. The beautifully lit balconies of the Neem Chowk add charm to the Haveli, setting the stage for traditional Rajasthani folk dance and music. The Dharohar Dance Show is well-organized, starting with a brief introduction by a Rajasthani woman dressed in traditional attire. The performances are accompanied by the beating of drums, blowing of conch shells, and religious songs. The show features well-choreographed dances supported by musicians playing tabla and harmonium. The women performing the dance wear typical Rajasthani folk costumes with colorful ghagra cholis adorned with glasswork and embroidery.
