Arrive Yangon

Upon arrival in Yangon Airport you are met by our executive and transferred to your pre booked Hotel

In the late afternoon visit to Shwedagon Pagoda, famous world wide - its golden stupa is the 'heart' of Buddhist Myanmar. The Pagoda is believed to be 2,500 years old and the central stupa in surrounded by dozens of intricately decorated buildings and statues. There are always many Myanmar people praying and making offerings at Shwedagon, and it's a fascinating place to spend time watching the world go by. Walk the nearby markets after sunset and enjoy the intense sights and sounds of Myanmar.

Yangon – Loikaw (By Flight)

Later you will be transferred to Yangon Airport to board Flight for Loikaw.
Loikaw is the capital of Kayah State in Burma. It is located in the Karen Hills area, near the State's northern tip near Shan State border. Kayah are also known as Karrenni (Red-Karen). Among several tribes of Kayah, the most interesting tribe is KayanPadaung (Long Necked women).

Upon arrival in Loikaw you are met and transferred to your pre booked Hotel

Start your Sightseeing of Loikaw, first visit to Taung Kwe Pagoda (or) the land mark Pagoda of Loikaw sits on the twin-peaked lime stone mountains, Visit to Cultural museum; learn about 9 different Kayah tribes and their nature. Visit Buddhist monastery, old Catholic church, Old β€œHaw” which is Residence of Kayah Chieftain now converted into a monastery.

Afternoon walk at Htanee La Lei Kayah village and you will visit two homes. First, you visit a local musician’s house, listen to traditional Instruments and try your hand playing them. Then, you visit another house to learn about traditional Kayah dress, Note that it is possible to rent a Kayah costume to try on, for an additional 5,000 Kyat / costume. Later visit 7 legendary lakes of Kayah State and Sunset from Mt. MyaSeinTaung that allows the stunning view of the town.

Today we will support local community by visiting them.

Drive to the South of the town to Visit Demawso market.

After breakfast set out for the journey from Loikaw to the villages of long neck ladies in Pampet by car. You will pass by Rang ku, Salong Kana & reach Prem Song village. Stop the car and take a short walk to Salong Kana village of long neck ladies. Visit local long neck ladies, walk about local homes, their home industries like bamboo weaving, typical way of textile weaving, carvings and processing millet wine (Khaung Ye). It’s like rice wine authentically brewed, take a sip of freshly brewed millet wine. And have a talk with the family and learn their ways of life. Return to Demawso and stop for lunch.

Evening take another route for trekking thru Shan villages such as PhaungPyin, Paya Phyu for about 2 hrs and return to Loikaw by long tail boat along Bilu Creek.

Loikaw – Phekone – Inle Lake

Your guide will transfer you to Phekone (1 hr) by car. Your guide will bid farewell to you at pier. Board the long tail boat (private boat for you) to Inle Lake.
One the way stop and visit Tharkhoung (sinking pagodas) at Sakar township and transfer to the hotel in Inle Lake. (It will take about 6 hrs with stop at Sakar village to visit Tharkhoung sinking pagodas on the way. Lunch & water should be prepared in advance). On the way, the boat can halt at Kyaing-Kham village to see the very rare traditional lotus thread weaving. This is an exquisite and expensive work of the Inthas. The woven materials are used as robes for Buddha statutes and Shawls.

Board on a traditional long and tall motorized boat for a sightseeing tour of the lake. Traveling on the lake is an exhilarating experience for nature lovers and a chance to observe the unique traditions of the Intha people. Wonder unique leg rowing fishermen, floating firms , houses and monasteries on the stilt etc. Visit floating village of Ywama, the lake's downtown and largest village on the Inlay Lake, 11 century PhaungdawOo pagoda housing five sacred Buddha Images. Take a walk to Lechae village to see workman ship of Tin Smith for Tiers of Pagodas and art of moulding Buddha statue by flower powder and the weaving village of Inpawkhon, famous for traditional silk-weaving, Se Gaung Village, famous for the blacksmith work and Nan Pan Village with cheroot making and boat-building dockyards etc and end your day with a visit famous Ngaphechaung, a museum like monastery where old belongings of many monasteries are restored.

Inle Lake – Indein Pagoda Complex

Visit one of the market day which schedules on shore to be held here today. Later, enjoy another boat tour to Indein, at the western end of the Lake. The boat takes you through a long channel where you watch the farmers cultivate their produce. This ride is one of the most scenic boat tours in Lake Inle. You will find Indein village and continue by a stair path leading to the hidden and unknown INN DEIN PAGODA Complex : approximate 1,050 stupas of 15 century. The market is of most attractive of its kind in the region and site is fantastic with rows of shops along the walk way. Return to Inle Lake and transfer back to your hotel.

Inle Lake – Pindaya – Kalaw (Drive)

Later transfer to Pindaya, an interesting drive up into the hills and across the Shan Plateau, through mountainous route. (approx. 2Β½ hours drive). Lunch at Local Restaurant, specialized in β€œDanu” food (on your own expense). Visit magnificent Pindaya Caves, set in a limestone ridge overlooking a picturesque lake, where thousands of different types of Buddha images are on display in the various cave chambers. Visit some local houses where families produce Shan paper and parasols.

Later drive to Kalaw (approx 1 hour). Cool, spring-like weather, pine forests, tea plantations and colorfully clad hill tribes make this town to a natural magnet.

Kalaw – Pindaya– Heho (Drive) & Heho – Mandalay (Flight)

Day at leisure to explore the charming town of Kalaw. You can walk and visit to Kalaw market.

In the afternoon drive to Heho Airport to board flight for Mandalay. Upon arrival in Mandalay Airport you are met and transferred to your pre booked hotel

Mandalay – Mingun – Mandalay

Later proceed to Mayan Chan jetty and board on a local wooden boat for Mingun across Ayeyarwady river <11 km, approx 1 hour>. The boat trip is interesting because you see all types of wooden boats and bamboo rafts, carrying goods up and down the river. Observe the world's largest ringing bell casted by Bodawpaya in 1800 weighing 55555 viss which calculated equal to 90 tons and MingunPahtodawgyi, an enormous pile of bricks is all that remain of King Bodawpaya ambition to make it the world's largest Buddhist stupa. After a visit of beautiful MyaThein Tan Pagoda return to Mandalay

This afternoon, continue your tour of Mandalay with a visit to Kuthodaw Pagoda, whose 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures have earned it the title β€˜World’s Biggest Book’. Continue to Shwenandaw Monastery, the only remaining building from the 19th century Royal Palace. This grand teak building is known for its exquisite woodcarving. Head to the top of Mandalay Hill as the sun begins to set to enjoy magnificent views of the city and Irrawaddy River.

Mandalay – Amarapura – Sagaing – Mandalay

Later excursion to Amarapura and Sagaing: visit Phayagyi to observe the most revered Mahamuni Image brought by King Bodawpaya in 1784 from Rakhine. The 4 meter seated Image was believed to have been casted in 1st century AD but over the year of offering gold leaf offering the figure is 15 cm thicket by gold. After a visit to stone carving, bronze casting and silk weaving process continue to ancient capital of Amarapura "meaning city of immortality". Visit Mahagandayon Monastery, home to several hundred of Buddhist novices and monks and observe the lunch process.

Afternoon proceed to Sagaing, covered with 600 white-painted pagodas and monasteries, Sagaing hill is widely regarded as the religious centre of Myanmar and is home of 6000 monks and nun, 100 meditation centers. On your way visit traditional bronze casting, silver smith works which Sagaing is famous for. Sagaing become the capital of independence of Shan around 1315 after fall of Bagan. Visit Tilawkaguru cave temple filled with impressive mural painting date back from 1672, UminThounze cave temple with multitude of seated Buddha statues and KaungmudawPaya, further west towards Monywar is enormous white dome rise 64 meter. Enjoy fantastic sunset view from the 200 year old U Bein teak bridge span across Thaungthaman Lake at the time when Amarapura was Royal capital. Return to Mandalay.

Mandalay – Bagan (By Boat)

After early breakfast, transfer to jetty. Mandalay – Bagan by boat.

Arrive Bagan in the late afternoon. Upon arrival in Bagan check in at your pre booked Hotel

Optional: This morning, riding Balloon over Bagan. Between 05:30 and 06:00 in the morning the bus from Balloon Flight Operator will pick you up from your hotel and send to the launch site. The exact time will be given to you the evening before for your Balloon flight. The Balloon flight will be 45 min to 1 hrs depend on the wind. You will be sending back to your hotel around 08:30 hrs after light breakfast.

Visit the ancient capital of β€˜Bagan’ and its architecture from 10 -13century AD. When you talk about Bagan, it is needless to say about Buddhism that flourished together with Bagan culture. Sightseeing in Bagan includes NyaungOo Market; a village market where you can find from wet market of fish and meat to house hold things like rattan baskets, cotton wear and antiques. Visit the golden Shwezigon Pagoda; prototype golden stupa.

Afternoon visit, Ananda Temple; the most beautiful temple with 4 standing Buddhas in four cardinal points, history or lord Buddha and outside of the temple is decorated withTerra-Cotta worriers in green glaze plaques. Visit Lacquerware home industry and stroll around the village of Myinkaba, visit Manuha Temple; the temple of captive king of Tha-ton and Dhamma-yan-gyiPahto; the massive one.

(***Due to earthquake on 24th August 2016 ,about 350 temples were slightly damaged & about 15 were severely damaged . Regional administrative has stopped permission to go up sunset watch temples, such as Pyattadagyi Temple, ShwesandawPagoda,etc. But since more than 3500 temples, stupas and monasters and other structuresaccommodated in Bagan, you will be taken to one of the special place to watch the famous sunset of Bagan.***)

Bagan – Popa – Kyaukku Boat

Drive to Mt. Popa; 1 hrs drive from Bagan rises 4981 feet above sea level. It is said to be the centre of the Nats( Mystical Spiritual Beings ) worshippers and a core of an extinct volcano or the β€œOasis” of the dry zone. Visit tower like volcanic plug that houses a picturesque complex of monasteries and Nat shrines which can be reached by winding up 777 steps. Back to Bagan.
Afternoon ( around 14:30 hrs ) take a boat to Kyauk-Ku Umin. Walk along the small path through mountain to the meditation cave made of sand stone in the 12 century. Visit around to see the stone-relief, stucco of the temple and return back to Bagan at sunset.

Bagan – Yangon (By Flight)

Later you are transferred to Bagan Airport to board flight for Yangon. Upon arrival in Yangon Airport you are met and transferred to your pre booked Hotel

Later proceed for Sightseeing tour of Yangon visiting Sightseeing Yangon (guided tour with private car) … the tour leads along Strand Road, into Mahabandoola Street, through India-town and China-town, photo stop near Sule Pagoda with its golden chedi, which makes a useful landmark in downtown Yangon and impressive colonial style government buildings such as the City Hall, Immanuel Baptist Church, High Court, central fire department and many pastel- painted shops and apartments. Later visit to Bogyoke Market, formally known as Scott Market, a sprawling 75 year old shopping complex noted for its variety of handicrafts and other items which provide an excellent opportunity for a shopping spree.
