Arrive Delhi

Today, you will be met at the Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3 by our guest relations executive, who will be holding a placard with your name. They will assist you to the car and transfer you to your pre-booked hotel.

Delhi, the capital of India, has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BCE and has served as the capital of various kingdoms and empires throughout its history. Delhi is a city with a historic Old Delhi and a modern New Delhi. From historical monuments to bustling shopping malls, from an extensive metro network to TukTuk rides, Delhi has multiple personalities and is affectionately known as the city with a heart.

In the evening, visit the ISKCON Temple. ISKCON stands for the International Society for Krishna Consciousness and has over 650 temples and centers of Vedic value education across six continents. The temple houses the world’s largest Bhagavad Gita, known as the Astounding Gita, which stands 2.80 by 2.00 meters tall and weighs 800 kg. This magnificent artifact is located at ISKCON’s Glory of India Museum and Vedic Cultural Center and was inaugurated by the Honourable Prime Minister of India.

In the afternoon, proceed for a city tour of the spectacular ninth to thirteenth-century temples of Khajuraho:

  • Kandariya Mahadev Temple: The largest, tallest, and most ornate temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. This stunning temple is about 31 meters tall and is part of the western group of temples.
  • Matangeswara and Vishwanatha Temples
  • Lakshmana Temple: Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, built from 930-950 AD during the reign of King Yasovarman of the Chandella kingdom. It houses a sacred image of Vaikuntha-Vishnu brought from Tibet. The temple is one of the oldest and most exquisitely decorated, covered with images of over 600 gods in the Hindu Pantheon.
  • Devi Mandap: Opposite the large Lakshmana Temple, this shrine has been renovated in the last century.
  • Devi Jagadambi Temple: Smaller than Kandariya Mahadev Temple, it has a cross plan with one set of balconies, one mandap, and no inner pradakshina patha.

Pench National Park spans the border of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, with the Pench River meandering from north to south through the reserve. The southern boundary of the park is marked by a dam on the Pench River, which generates hydroelectricity. The area around the dam is rich in wildlife, including Asiatic Jackal and Nilgai. The park’s rugged terrain features hills cloaked in both southern moist deciduous forest and extensive dry deciduous forest, dominated by teak. Common wildlife sightings include Wild Boar, Common Langurs, Sambar, Spotted and Barking Deer. With luck, you might also spot Dhole, Sloth Bear, or Leopard, which are generally seen in the peripheral areas of the park, avoiding Tigers.
