Day 2: Explore Jerash and Amman

Enter the city through the monumental South Gate and discover the magnificent Oval Plaza, the Temple of Zeus, and the South Theater, which seats over 3,000 spectators. Stroll along the Colonnaded Street to see the Market Place, the Omayyad residential quarter, a 4th-century AD cathedral, St. Theodore’s Church, the Nymphaeum, and the North Theater.
Afternoon: Amman City Tour
Return to Amman and begin your city tour, starting with the downtown area, the oldest part of Amman. Visit the Citadel, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city.
